Extra 300

I knew I was going to want one of these Extras the first time I saw an advertisement for them. I like the size of the model, the scale looks and what I think is an attractive finish. I had always wanted an Extra. I love their look. I also thought this model could handle more wind than say my Radian, Slow Stik and 32" EPP Yak 55. That has turned out to be true, so I now have something that I can fly when I might have otherwise been waiting for a calmer day.

My first flight was uneventful - just the way you would like one to be! I only needed a couple of trim clicks to find the model flying hands off. The one thing I noticed right away is that it was a little faster than my other models. It climbed quickly and went from one end of the field to the other quicker than I was accustomed to. I am sure its pretty average for its class of model though. I only have a half-dozen flights on it to date but I am quite pleased so far. More to come soon.
